Acting BOJ chief Shirakawa likely to be promoted to governor
TOKYO, Japan - File photo of acting Bank of Japan Governor Masaaki Shirakawa, who is likely to become the next chief of the central bank as the main opposition Democratic Party of Japan indicated support on April 4 for the promotion after it was informally sounded out by the government.
