Nakata to play in exhibition match in June
TOKYO, Japan - Former Japan midfielder Hidetoshi Nakata said in Tokyo on April 15 he will play in an exhibition match featuring overseas star players on June 7 in Yokohama. Nakata, 31, who retired after his country made a first-round exit at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, will play on the Japan Stars team in the match, dubbed the ''Plus One Football Match,'' against the World Stars, led by former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, at Nissan Stadium.
