Mongolian president declares emergency over violent protests
ULAN BATOR, Mongolia - The headquarters of the ruling Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party in Ulan Bator burns in a fire triggered by supporters of the opposition Democratic Party on July 1 in protest against alleged fraud in the parliamentary election held over the weekend. Mongolian President Nambaryn Enkhbayar declared a four-day state of emergency.
