Saury fishermen halt work in appeal for government fuel cost aid
KUSHIRO, Japan - Sauries are landed from a fishing boat at Kushiro port in eastern Hokkaido on Aug. 18 before members of two major saury fishermen's groups from across Japan suspended work in a one-day appeal for government help to ameliorate their financial plight stemming from soaring fuel costs.
