Shopping helper robots tested at Osaka's Universal City Walk

OSAKA, Japan - Robovie-II, one of four types of robot designed to guide, aid and hand out coupons to shoppers, talks to a boy at Universal Citywalk Osaka, a shopping and entertainment complex adjacent to Universal Studios Japan in Osaka on Dec. 1. The robot was developed by Intelligent Robotics and Communication Laboratories of Advanced Telecommunications Research International.
