Toyota expects 1st operating loss in FY 2008

NAGOYA, Japan - Katsuaki Watanabe, president of Toyota Motor Corp., responds to questions from reporters at a press conference in Nagoya on Dec. 22. Toyota said it expects an operating loss of 150 billion yen for fiscal 2008 group business, the first group loss in its history, due to shrinking global auto sales and the yen's further appreciation.
