Kamakura Festival to be held in Akita

YOKOTE, Japan - Children roast rice cakes in one of more than 100 igloo-like snow huts called ''kamakura'' in Yokote, Akita Prefecture, on Feb. 14, one day before the two-day Kamakura Festival begins. The huts were made bigger than usual out of anxiety over the unusually warm winter this year.
