Cambodia thanks Vietnam for toppling Khmer Rouge

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia - A ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the entry of Vietnamese forces into Cambodia to fight the Khmer Rouge was held at Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh on Jan. 7. Chea Sim, president of the ruling Cambodian People's Party and president of the Senate, said Cambodia expressed deep thanks to Vietnamese forces for saving Cambodia from its genocidal leadership.
