Flag of Japanese soldier returned to family after 6 decades
TOKYO, Japan - A Japanese flag believed to have been left behind by a Japanese soldier, Masayuki Kosakadani from Toyama Prefecture, in the Philippines during World War II and kept in the United States was returned to his relatives (R side) at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo on March 11. The flag bearing messages of encouragement for the soldier was in the possession of retired U.S. Army Colonel Jack Blair for over 60 years.
