S. Korea names baseball mascot Doala as tourism envoy

SEOUL, South Korea - Popular Japanese baseball club mascot Doala is given the sash of ''honorary public relations ambassador'' of the Korea Tourism Organization during a ceremony at a Seoul hotel on July 28. The mascot of the Chunichi Dragons will help boost bilateral exchanges in the private sector. Doala, a name coined from ''Dragons'' and ''koala,'' pledged to make utmost efforts in a written message during the ceremony.
