U.N. assembly chief appeals for nuke-free world
NEW YORK, United States - Miguel d'Escoto Brockmann, president of the U.N. General Assembly, meets the press at U.N. headquarters in New York on July 30 before his Aug. 3-9 visit to Japan. Brockmann, a Nicaraguan national who presides over the 63rd session of the General Assembly, appealed for the global community to join forces in realizing a nuclear-free world.
