Bridgestone marks opening of 1st domestic tire plant in 33 years

KITAKYUSHU, Japan - Bridgestone Corp. holds an opening ceremony Aug. 4 for its new radial tire factory in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, its first domestic production facility since one was built in Hofu, Yamaguchi Prefecture, 33 years ago.
