Yankees' Matsui receives award in N.Y. from Japanese gov't

NEW YORK, United States - World Series MVP Hideki Matsui shows a certificate of commendation from the Japanese government that he received on Nov. 13, 2009, in New York for fostering goodwill and friendship between Japan and the United States. New York Consul General Shinichi Nishimiya presented the New York Yankees designated hitter with the certificate at his official residence.
