New icebreaker Shirase arrives in Australia on way to Antarctic
FREMANTLE, Australia - Japan's icebreaker Shirase is anchored at port in Fremantle, Western Australia, on Nov. 24 after arriving there on its way to the Antarctica. The Shirase, which left Tokyo port on Nov. 10 for its Antarctic mission, will leave Fremantle on Nov. 29 after taking on food and fuel for four months. (Pool photo)
