Nobel laureate economist Paul Samuelson dies at 94
NEW YORK, United States - Paul Samuelson, a Nobel Prize-winning American economist and professor emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, shown in a November 1994 file photo, died at his home in Massachusetts on Dec. 13, 2009. He was 94. Samuelson, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1970, influenced the fiscal policies of the United States and many other nations for decades.
