Vancouver sewage-to-heat center goes live before Olympics

VANCOUVER, Canada - Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson (L) and other officials switch on the False Creek Energy Center, a power plant that runs on human waste, in the city on Jan. 14, 2010. The energy center uses sewage to create enough heat and hot water for the Olympic Village and thousands of new homes and businesses.
