Fire drill at Horyuji in Nara Pref.
NARA, Japan - Firefighters discharge water during a fire drill at Horyuji, a Buddhist temple in Ikaruga, Nara Prefecture, on Jan. 26, 2010. Some 100 monks and firefighters took part in the drill, which has been conducted annually on Jan. 26 after a fire took place at the temple's Kondo (Golden Hall) the same day in 1949. Horyuji was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993.
