DPJ lawmaker Edano tapped as administrative reform minister
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama speaks to reporters in front of his official residence in Tokyo on Feb. 10, 2010, after tapping Yukio Edano, a former policy chief of the ruling Democratic Party of Japan, as the new administrative reform minister. Hatoyama said he wants Edano to spearhead the government's waste-cutting efforts to restore and heighten people's confidence in the DPJ.
