Hatoyama faces Okinawa outrage over U.S. base

NAHA, Japan - A limousine carrying Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama (in this photo) passes people staging a protest rally near the prefectural government in Naha on May 23, 2010. Hatoyama apologized to Gov. Hirokazu Nakaima and other local leaders the same day for failing to keep his promise to move a controversial U.S. military base out of Okinawa.
