Ex-Japanese premier Fukuda receives U.N. population award

NEW YORK, United States - Former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda (L) receives a medal from U.N. Deputy Secretary General Asha-Rose Migiro on June 3, 2010, as a parliamentarians' forum chaired by Fukuda received an award for its contribution to addressing population issues. Fukuda picked up the 2010 U.N. Population Award on behalf of the Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development at a ceremony in New York.
