Kan urges Karzai to improve security, end corruption

TOKYO, Japan - Visiting Afghan President Hamid Karzai (L) and Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan shake hands at the prime minister's office in Tokyo on June 17, 2010, prior to their talks. Kan urged the Afghan government to improve security conditions and put an end to corruption so that foreign aid will be used effectively to rebuild the war-torn country.
