Hakuho receives emperor's congratulatory letter
TOKYO, Japan - Sumo grand champion Hakuho bows after a press conference at the Ryogoku Kokugikan gymnasium in Tokyo on Aug. 3, 2010, after receiving a congratulatory letter from Japanese Emperor Akihito for winning the Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament. The Mongolian yokozuna had lamented the lack of the emperor's cup and other awards in the tournament as a series of gambling scandals overshadowed it.
