Sharapova advances to 2nd round in U.S. Open tennis

NEW YORK, United States - Maria Sharapova of Russia pumps her fist in the first round of the U.S. Open women's singles competition in New York on Aug. 31, 2010. Sharapova advanced to the second round of the tournament by defeating Jarmila Groth of Australia 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.
