Downpour hits areas of Japan

TOKYO, Japan - A road is seen damaged in Tokyo's Chiyoda area on Sept. 8, 2010. Typhoon Malou weakened to a tropical storm that day after bringing heavy rain to central and eastern regions of the country, with downtown Tokyo observing 68.0 millimeters of rain per hour, the third-highest for the month of September on record.
