Base opponents win majority in Nago assembly election
NAGO, Japan - Nago Mayor Susumu Inamine, a staunch opponent of the planned relocation of a U.S. Marine Corps base to the city, speaks to reporters at the city office on Sept. 13, 2010, following a local assembly election held the previous day. Candidates opposed to hosting the U.S. base secured a majority, giving a boost to Inamine.
