Nobel laureates Suzuki, Negishi talk on phone
SAPPORO, Japan - Akira Suzuki (L), a professor emeritus at Hokkaido University, and Eiichi Negishi, a professor at Purdue University, talk by phone on Oct. 7, 2010, after receiving the Nobel Prize in chemistry. Suzuki and Negishi, and American Richard Heck shared the award for ''palladium-catalyzed cross couplings in organic synthesis.''
