White ice on trees in Zao mountains may fade in 40 years

YAMAGATA, Japan - Photo shows white ice deposits on trees along a ski slope in Yamagata City of the Zao mountains in February 2010. A research team led by Yamagata University professor Fumitaka Yanagisawa warned on Nov. 10, 2010, that the phenomenon could vanish in 40 years due to global warming.
