Japan, S. Korea agree to transfer Korean archives

TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Foreign Minister Seiji Maehara (R front) and his South Korean counterpart Kim Sung Hwan (L front) sign an agreement on Nov. 14, 2010, in Yokohama to transfer Korean archives that were brought to Japan during its 1910-1945 colonial rule of the Korean Peninsula. The signing took place following the bilateral summit on the fringes of an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum summit with the presence of Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan (R back) and South Korean President Lee Myung Bak (L back).
