American researcher receives Japan's Int'l Prize for Biology
TOKYO, Japan - American researcher Nancy Moran (L front), professor at Yale University, receives the 2010 International Prize for Biology in Tokyo on Dec. 6, 2010. Japanese Emperor Akihito (back L) and Empress Michiko (back R) attend the award ceremony for the prize which was instituted in 1985 to commemorate Emperor Hirohito, father of Emperor Akihito, and his devotion to biological research as well as to offer tribute to the present emperor.
