Issey Miyake honored by Hiroshima
TOKYO, Japan - Fashion designer Issey Miyake shows a certificate issued by the city of Hiroshima bestowing on him the title of honorary citizen at an award ceremony in Tokyo on Jan. 28, 2011. The city praised Miyake's efforts to call for peace and the abolition of nuclear weapons. The 72-year-old designer was 7 when he survived the atomic bombing of the western Japan city in 1945.
