China, Iran push world's tally of imprisoned journalists to 14-yr high

NEW YORK, United States - Joel Simon (R), executive director of the Committee to Protect Journalists, speaks in a press conference in New York on Feb. 15, 2011. China and Iran together put the most journalists behind bars in 2010, accounting for nearly half of those imprisoned worldwide and pushing the global number to the highest level in 14 years, according to the nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving freedom of the press.
