Aftermath of online cheating
KUSHIRO, Japan - An applicant for an entrance examination held on March 8, 2011, at Kushiro Public University of Economics holds his cellphone in a transparent plastic bag distributed by the university to stem online cheating. Schools in Japan have begun taking tougher measures to prevent cheating at their entrance exams in the wake of the arrest March 3 of a 19-year-old student for allegedly disrupting a university entrance exam in February by soliciting answers online via a cellphone from the exam room.
