Tank to clear rubble at Fukushima plant

TOKYO, Japan - A Type 74 tank of the Ground Self-Defense Force arrives at a GSDF garrison in Asaka, Saitama Prefecture, in the evening of March 20, 2011. The Defense Ministry disclosed a plan the same day to use the type of tanks to clear rubble in the premises of the crisis-hit Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station in Fukushima Prefecture. The rubble has been an obstacle to operations to cool reactors at the plant.
