IMF projects negative growth for Japan
TOKYO, Japan - John Lipsky, acting managing director of the International Monetary Fund, speaks during a press conference in Tokyo on June 8, 2011. The IMF said the Japanese economy could contract in 2011, weighed down by the impact of the earthquake and tsunami in March, but added the country could expect a sharp rebound in the following year as reconstruction work proceeds.
