Hong Kong actor Tsang visits Japan

HONG KONG, China - Popular Hong Kong actor Eric Tsang talks to reporters at a Hong Kong airport on June 19, 2011, before his departure to Japan. Tsang is visiting Japan with a TV crew to promote the country as a safe destination, as the number of visitors from Hong Kong to Japan has dropped significantly in the wake of the nuclear accident following the March 11 earthquake and tsunami disaster. His two-week trip to Tokyo and the Kansai areas, western Japan, is scheduled to be aired in Hong Kong in the following month.

Actor Watanabe visits quake-hit areas

Foreign visitors shun Japan

OSAKA, Japan - Photo shows a duty free service counter at a department store in Osaka with no customers on April 5, 2011. Immigration officials said the same day the number of foreigners arriving at Kansai airport in Osaka Prefecture from March 18 to 23 after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami stood around 1,700 a day, less than half of the daily average before the disaster.
