Japanese-Filipino woman to meet Japanese father

MANILA, Philippines - Pacita Okuma, a 69-year-old Japanese-Filipino woman, speaks during a press conference near Manila on Aug. 3, 2011, before leaving for Okinawa to meet her Japanese father for the first time in 66 years. Okuma and six other Filipinos of Japanese descent will go to Japan to meet their Japanese relatives. They will make personal appearances at the Tokyo Family Court as part of their petition to acquire Japanese citizenship.
