Moon rover by Tohoku University
TOKYO, Japan - Kazuya Yoshida (L), professor of Tohoku University, presents a prototype of a moon rover in Tokyo on Aug. 29, 2011. The Space Robotics Lab at university's Aerospace Engineering Department has been developing the moon rover to participate in the Google Lunar X PRIZE, international competition of lunar exploration technology to award to the first privately funded teams with a total of $30 million in prizes, which expires when all prizes are claimed or at the end of 2015.
