Noda tells Obama Japan-U.S. alliance at core of diplomacy
NEW YORK, United States - Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda (L) and U.S. President Barack Obama meet in New York on Sept. 21, 2011. Noda, who took office in early September, held his first face-to-face talks with Obama and said the long-standing alliance between the two countries is the linchpin of his new government's diplomatic policy.
