Tesla to make EV at new plant

FREMONT, United States - Tesla Motors Inc. Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk stands by a prototype of his company's new Model S electric vehicle in Fremont, California, on Oct. 1, 2011. Tesla the U.S. electric vehicle maker showed its new plant in Fremont to reporters and said it will be ready to produce the Model S at the plant, bought from the now-liquidated joint venture of Toyota Motor corp. and then General Motors Corp, by the end of 2011.
