ASDF official apologizes to Ishikawa gov. over accident

KANAZAWA, Japan - Japanese Air Self-Defense Force Maj. Gen. Shunji Izutsu (L), commander of Komatsu Air Base, offers an apology to Ishikawa Gov. Masanori Tanimoto in the prefectural government office on Oct. 11, 2011, over an accident Oct. 7 involving an F-15 fighter. In the accident, which caused no injuries, an empty fuel tank fell to the ground from an F-15 fighter stationed at the Komatsu base.
