Hanshin Tigers to part ways with Mayumi

OSAKA, Japan - Hanshin Tigers manager Akinobu Mayumi (front) heads to exchange rosters before a game with the Hiroshima Carp at Koshien Stadium in Hyogo Prefecture on Oct. 16, 2011. Hanshin's front office announced the same day it will part ways with Mayumi after the Tigers failed to reach the Climax Series playoffs.
