Indian retailers hold protest rally

NEW DELHI, India - Retailers hold a rally in New Delhi on Dec. 1, 2011, to protest against the government's move to open the Indian market to significant direct investment by foreign firms. The move could allow multinational retailers to enter India, dealing a blow to small neighborhood shops and stores that make up the bulk of India's retail industry.
