            OKAYAMA, Japan - Photo shows a copper refinery in Tamano, Okayama Prefecture, of a Mining & Smelting Co. affiliate, where five workers died July 25 after they were buried under bricks while refurbishing a converter. Mitsui Mining & Smelting said the accident occurred when the cylindrical steel-covered converter, one of three at the site, collapsed.

              Yokohama refinery leaks oil into Tokyo Bay

              YOKOHAMA, Japan - An aerial photo taken Oct. 26 shows the refinery in Yokohama city of a Nippon Mitsubishi Oil Corp. unit which leaked fuel oil into Tokyo Bay. Workers at the refinery, while cleaning a boiler, mistakenly released fuel inside to the ground, which was funneled via a rainwater duct to Negishi Bay, a part of Tokyo Bay.
