Sasa to become next Olympus president

TOKYO, Japan - Hiroyuki Sasa, executive officer of Olympus Corp., holds a press conference in Tokyo on Feb. 27, 2012. The Japanese camera and medical equipment maker said the same day it has decided to appoint Sasa to succeed President Shuichi Takayama, who will step down to take responsibility for the company's loss coverup scandal.
