Cherry blossom festival in Washington

WASHINGTON, United States - Cherry trees are in full bloom along the Tidal Basin in the center of Washington on March 20, 2012, with the Washington Monument visible in the background. The National Cherry Blossom Festival began in the U.S. capital the same day and runs through April 27. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the planting of cherry trees in the city.
