Restaurants to be banned from serving raw beef liver
TOKYO, Japan - Photo taken March 30, 2012, shows sliced raw beef liver (front) served at a restaurant in Tokyo's Shimbashi district. A health ministry panel compiled plans the same day to legally ban restaurants from serving raw beef liver, following the discovery that it contains the O-157 strain of E. coli bacteria. Raw liver is considered a delicacy in Japan.
