Sudo to resign as chairman of NHK board of governors
TOKYO, Japan - The chairman of public broadcaster Japan Broadcasting Corp.'s board of governors, Fumio Sudo, speaks during a press conference in Tokyo on May 24, 2012. Sudo said he will resign from the post amid criticism that his recent appointment as an outside board member of the operator of the crisis-hit Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant could jeopardize public confidence in the impartiality and fairness of the public broadcaster's news reporting.
