Japan, S. Korea put off signing of military pact
SEOUL, South Korea - A South Korean civic group protests against a military agreement between South Korea and Japan, in Seoul on June 29, 2012. The two countries the same day postponed signing their first-ever military agreement, aimed at sharing classified information, due to a last-minute request from South Korea amid concern about a public backlash over the strengthening of such cooperation with its former colonial power.
