Comedian begins 440-km marathon in quake-hit northeast
YAMADA, Japan - Comedian Kampei Hazama (C) runs while talking with local people in the town of Yamada, Iwate Prefecture, on Aug. 13, 2012. Hazama began the same day a nine-day marathon across northeastern Japan, which was hit hardest by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, in an effort to spread cheer among disaster-stricken local residents.
