Google, Twitter to analyze Net data to help disaster victims
TOKYO, Japan - Tomoe Makino, partnership director of the Japanese unit of social media Twitter, holds a press conference in Tokyo on Sept. 12, 2012. The Japanese units of U.S. Internet giant Google Inc. and Twitter said the same day they will analyze data circulated on the Internet after the devastating March 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan to explore ways to support disaster victims more effectively.
